Making a grant application to Arts Council England, South West Seminars for 2008

Friday 12 September 2008 – Brewhouse, Taunton 10.00am – 1.00pm
Thursday 13 November 08 – City Hall, Salisbury 10.00am – 1.00pm
If you are considering making an application to Grants for the arts, this seminar will help you decide whether you can make a strong enough case against the criteria of the fund, if so, give you the confidence to ensure that you are able to submit the strongest possible application. The seminar will cover all aspects of the scheme but will concentrate on two particular parts of making an application; the creation of the proposal, and setting out the budget. Our priority is to provide advice for individual artists, but you are welcome to attend if you are a member of an organisation and the information will be equally relevant. We will not be able to enter into detailed discussion on individual applications, but the seminar leader will be available to give advice for a short period of time following the seminars. To get the best from the seminar it is essential that you obtain a copy of the Grants for the arts application pack beforehand and read the guidelines. You can do this by visiting our website www.artscouncil.org.uk or by requesting a hard copy by calling 0845 300 6200. The seminar is free and tea and coffee will be provided, but you will need to register in advance in order to secure a place. You can do this by calling Clare Bromley on 01392 229271 or email at clare.bromley@artscouncil.org.uk
